March 2015/Week 1

The weekly update! Week 1 March 2015, Fursuit making!

So this kangeroo head was made! This is the basic-ish stage in foaming, still need to fix up the eye holes and eye brows.

Some feet made too! Rather some feet finished and Furred. Really love the toes on this one. I'm starting to combine realism with the toony look.

Head Has eye in now and has been duct taped up ready for patterning. And as you can see below, the patterns are stuck on my wall. What you see below are the patterns for one side of the face, those will be flipped over for the other side. My god, this head is going to be hard to sew.

Jesus Christ.

If anyone is looking at this blog for tips and tricks on fursuit making, here is one I do. Try to add as little length onto the front of the paws as possible when you are making digigrade legs to go with the paws. On a real animal like a canine of feline, they dont have long feet. You shall see what I mean when I scroll down, The effect is very nice.

These are black paws so I cant airbrush on the details. So for these I have made sure to make the toes extra deep to add that definition I want.

And unshaven foot! Yuck!

One pair of feet later!

See what I mean about not adding any more length to the paws. They flow really nicely into the shape of the legs.

Paws!

Here is the finished commission. She wanted everything but the head doing. The fursuit is too big on me so it looks a little strange. But I am pleased with it!

So in this week:

Completed feet paws
Created hand and feet paws
Created head with eyes
Patterns Created.
